This is a valuable combination of therapies designed to quickly restore range of motion, increase disc height, reduce disc or arthritis pressure on nerves, reduce pain and re-establish general function.

At Spineworks we use an automated and manual Hill Flexion-Distraction table (utilizing the Cox Method) to create a long-axis decompression (coupled with lateral flexion and rotation) of the intervertebral disc space of concern. This increases the space where the nerves exit the spine, thereby reducing symptoms quickly.

Next, we manually stretch the low back, hips, and pelvic musculature. These stretches are done elevated and into flexion coupled with rotation, basically, to open up the lumbosacral joints (reoccurring theme) and allow the nerves room to get around the impingement.
